During the All Progressives Congress (APC) extra-ordinary non-elective convention in Abuja on Wednesday, a free for all fight broke out, resulting in severe injuries two for attendees and a responding police officer.

The mayhem captured on video by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), saw chairs, bottles, and other items became weapons, thrown by warring factions of the party.

The event was held “to amend the constitution of the party to accord with the provisions of the Electoral Act,” Tony Momoh, an Edo State delegate told NTA.

The party also acknowledged and celebrated the introduction of its newest addition, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal.

The victims were taken to the hospital, and the Police managed to restored order at the event.
