Speaking at the official press launch, Tokini Peterside, director of Art X Lagos and founder of TP- Collective, said: “I am encouraged by the interest and support we have received so far from all partners.  This affirms our decision to go ahead with the project. As Nigeria and its neighbouring countries seek to diversify and expand their economies, our investment in the creative industry via ART X Lagos, offers a vital platform for growth and increased visibility, to artists and galleries”.

Besides the exhibition of work from the featured artists, the fair will also feature live art performances and installations from the some of the drivers of the contemporary visual art scene in Nigeria like Uthman Wahaab, Yadichinma, Osi Itegboje, Wura Natasha-Ogunji and Tunde Alara.
