#BBNaija: Six Housemates up for possible eviction, and eviction risk is higher for some than others

There is no doubt that Sundays in the Big Brother Naija House [barring a deviation from its routine evictions] are the most dreaded days for the contestants of the show. It’s a day when some of the Housemates are at risk of going home. The silver lining however, is that it’s also a day when those who survive get one week closer to the main goal.

If Sunday’s are a dreaded day in the House, Mondays are a close second. It’s a day when Housemates are forced to nominate each other for possible eviction. Today was no exception. The Housemates got to voting and after all was said and done, six Housemates were put up for possible eviction.

The six Housemates up for eviction are; Nini, Tega, Saskay, Emmanuel, Arin, and Princess. Right off the bat, Princess seems to be in the most trouble. During her stay in the House so far, she has been so reserved that its easy to forget that she is even on the show. She hasn’t shown much of a personality, and hardly participates in any fun activity in the House. It’s truly hard to see her surviving this week, as she of everyone nominated has stalled the most at establishing and identity, and by extension a fanbase.

The same worry applies to Saskay, except that she at least has been a part of the show. Nevertheless, she is a bit reserved, and there is not much to suggest that she has a legion of fans behind her.

Tega is somewhat of an anomaly in this regard. On one hand, she has been fun in the House. She is vocal, interesting, and down to play the game. On the other hand, this has not done much to grow her fanbase rapidly, although she does have some traction. If two people are going to be evicted, then it almost feels like she would be safe. But if three people are going to be evicted like the last time, then she might be in some real danger.

Arin, who has been a subject of ridicule online, for the numerous piercings on her face might not be in as much danger as social media will have you thinking. She does have some potential to be disruptive, and as we’ve seen on the show, that attribute is valuable currency when it comes to gaining fans. I’m not sure voters will be keen on getting rid of her yet, although there is that possibility.

Nini, against some other stronger casts may be in some real trouble, but against these five, she is not. Like Arin she receives a lot of backlash on social media, but at the end of the day, she is one of the contestants that make the House lively, and if BBN fans have to choose between someone they don’t really agree with but is lively or someone they don’t know at all because they barely speak, they will evict the latter in a heartbeat.

And finally, Emmanuel. On surface value, he would have been in some serious danger, but this gallant looking young man is associated with one of the House’s most favorite contestant; Liquorose. And the hopefuls, looking to see their ship sail will do anything in their power to keep him in the game.
