Boko Haram leaders livid over video leak, accuse FG of ‘cheating’

According to some security sources, leaders of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, are livid over the release of a video showing some of the kidnapped Chibok girls – who appeared to be well and alive.

CNN exclusively obtained the video, which was subsequently shown to parents of the Chibok girls ahead of the second anniversary of the girls’ abduction.

The video, which featured 15 Chibok girls, is believed to have been recorded in December 2015.

According to TheCable, some of the leaders of the terrorist sect are outraged over the release of the video – a situation which is being viewed as a breach of trust and treachery as the video was never meant to be leaked.

The insurgents are allegedly angry at the government and accusing it of cheating as the video was given to the negotiators and government to serve as ‘proof of life.’

A security source revealed to ThCable that “they think the government and the media are not genuinely interested in the girls’ freedom.”

“It (the video) was never intended for broadcast. They are reportedly accusing the government of “cheating” because the video was only recorded as “proof of life” for the negotiators.”
