Former Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Abdulmumin Jibrin has been on a media campaign against Speaker Yakubu Dogara and some other members of the House of Representatives over alleged budget padding activities.
Jibrin had accused Dogara and three other principal officers of the House of padding the 2016 national budget to the tune of N40 billion.
The other three are; Deputy Speaker, Hon. Yusuf Lasun, Chief Whip, Hon. Ado Doguwa, and Minority leader, Hon. Leo Ogor.
As the padding saga unraveled, Jibrin later mentioned some other members of the House, mostly committee chairmen in his accusations.
Jibrin also went on a 207 twitter rant today on the same budget padding allegations.
However, Jibrin has been repeating the same allegations and talks in his interviews and Twitter rants.
These are 5 of them and they are reasons why we think anyone shouldn’t take Jibrin serious anymore;
- When Jibrin first made the budget allegations on July 21st, he demanded that the Speaker should reconvene the House and resign to allow for uninterrupted investigation of the allegations.
Well, in his series of tweets today, Jibrin repeated the same thing over again.

3. Jibrin alleged that Dogara and others tried to force him to insert N20 billion into the budget, an allegation he has made numerous times.

4. Jibrin also repeated his accusations that Dogara was involved in a multi-billion naira car contract scam while he was the Chairman Committee on House Services during the 7th Assembly.
