The death-defying Kokomaster, D’Banj has conquered yet another sphere of entertainment, and this time it’s television. The British soap opera, Eastenders, is to feature his ‘Oliver Twist’ song. Earlier this evening he tweeted:

Oliver Twist on Eastenders?! What a great pre-birthday gift for me from the UK!! Oossshheee!! LEBETE!

So it looks like he is really getting serious traction with the track. It has been quite an eventful year for the musician, who has split with his old record label partner and ‘Oliver Twist’ producer, Don Jazzy, appeared at Cannes film festival (after starring in Kanye’s film), and made a cameo appearance in Kanye’s new ‘Mercy’ video.

We have to know though. When are we going to hear some new music from D’Banj and Kanye? Oliver Twist is almost a year old, and while it might be new to international audiences, his local fans are looking for something new. It can only be a matter of time.
