EFCC ‘bans visits to detainees, phone calls’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has banned visits to high-profile detainees in its custody, Daily Post reports.

The news platform also reports that the agency has banned suspects from making calls to their lawyers while in custody.

It was reported that the order was issued in a circular signed by acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu.

Recall that some PDP leaders had recently visited former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, Ex-Presidential aide, Reuben Abati and former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro.

Prior to the visit, some APC senators had also visited the detainees.
