Following reports that Afolabi Akanni, an Ekiti state lawmaker had died in custody of the Department of State Services, the security agency was compelled to parade him on Thursday afternoon.

During a news conference convened by the Ekiti state commissioner for information, youth, sports and culture, Lanre Ogunsuyi, the state government had alleged that Akanni was dead.

To prove that the allegation of the Ekiti government was untrue, the DSS showed Akanni to some journalists at the agency’s headquarters.
