Bill Cosby Defense’s key witness says the comedian is being framed
Bill Cosby’s key defense witness gave a devastating account on Wednesday of how the celebrity’s main accuser in his retrial talked to her about framing a celebrity before going to the police with her allegations of sexual assault in 2005.
Marguerite Jackson, who was an academic adviser at Temple University in Philadelphia when Andrea Constand – Cosby’s main accuser – worked there testified that Constand told her she could fabricate sexual assault allegations and then “get that money” from a civil lawsuit.
Idris Elba is taking on a surprising new role
Netflix has unveiled Turn Up Charlie, a comedy series starring and partly executive produced by Idris Elba. The half-hour show has Elba playing a “struggling” single DJ (fitting given his extensive DJ background) who gets another chance when he becomes the caretaker for a famous friend’s rebellious daughter.
Basically, it’s Charles in Charge with mixing and scratching. There’s no release date yet, but production on the first eight-episode season starts in May.
Cee C apologises to fellow Big Brother Naija housemate, Tobi
Yesterday evening, BBNaija housemate, Cee C apologised to Tobi for all the hurtful things she said to him earlier in the day. Her apology comes hours after Big Brother issued her a strike for provocation and verbal abuse.
Diamond Platnumz arrested for offensive social media video
Diamond Platnumz has been questioned by the Tanzanian Police Authority for posting a video clip of himself playfully kissing a woman on Instagram.
According to the Tanzanian Information Minister, Harrison Mwakyembe, the singer had fallen foul of the new Electronic and Postal Communications (Online Content) Regulations, introduced a few weeks ago.
Mwakyembe said the authorities plan to file charges against Diamond Platnumz, who has since removed the Instagram post.
