Happy holiday, guys! As this is about to be a chilled Monday – a rare type, sit back and catch up on the biggest entertainment gist you missed through the weekend.

Wizkid is the best thing that happened to Nigeria over the weekend

As we chronicle the Starboy’s legendary deeds from the weekend through till last night…

On Friday night, Wizkid made history with a soldout concert at the Royal Albert Hall as part of his Albert Sessions feature.

Wizkid performed to a crowd of over 5000 with no help from backup singers or dancers. He singlehandedly steered the hall audience and those who watched live via Facebook through a one-hour offering of back to back hits.

Read all about how Wiz shut down London and how Twitter showed love to Africa’s number one superstar.

While fans shared their excitement via Twitter, Wizkid dropped a quick announcement.

We’re not sure how soon this new music he’s just promised will be released but expectations are now sky high.

Meanwhile…

Olamide’s Wo is the biggest Naija track of 2017. Just because Wizkid said so…

Someone tried to contend his fact but Wizkid wasn’t having any of it:

It is what the Starboy says it is then.

Dencia had a few words for Yemi Alade over the weekend

Cameroonian singer and bleaching cream manufacturer, Dencia was not pleased with something Yemi Alade said about her a year ago and she chose Saturday to rant about it.

In Yemi Alade’s interview in 2016, the Mama Africa crooner listed Dencia as one of the artists that needed to quit music. Brutal!

Dencia took to her Instagram with a clip and heavily-worded caption that read in part, “Yop @yemialade F**k u.My Album debuted on #3 I don’t have to f**k managers & whatever 2 get 2 the Top. No I won’t stop music,my Debut album killed all of u & yes I’m bragging.”

Diddy is the highest paid hip hop artist of 2017

And he hasn’t even made any music in the last one year…

Sean Combs sits atop Forbes list of world’s highest earning hip hop artists with an estimated earning of $130 million in 2017.

The 47-year-old mogul sold one-third of his Sean John clothing company that earned him $70 million. He also has a long-standing partnership with Diageo’s Ciroc vodka.

Diddy told Forbes sometime in 2017, “I’ve always understood that if I give the customers my best and service them differently, whether music, clothing or vodka, I’ll get a return on my hard work”.

Meanwhile, Drake follows behind on the No 2 spot with an earning of $94 million while Jay-Z was third place with $42 million.

Nicki Minaj is the only female in top 20 and she made $16 million in the year.

We’re not sure what this is but Mr Eazi calls it a peacemaking mission for the jollof wars

After several successful attempts at throwing Nigeria under the bus, Mr Eazi goes on a blinddate to discover which jollof rice tastes better – Nigerian or Ghanaian.
