The Film Blog: Mildred Okwo plots her next move

After wowing audiences with her first film The Meeting (actually, her first film was 30 Days, but so few people got to see it, and even fewer are aware of his existence,) Nollywood director and producer Mildred Okwo returned with another comedy, Surulere. The latter may have seen a somewhat lukewarm reception, but it did the great work of showing people what a fantastic talent Seun Ajayi is.

Now she’s making a move into television, with a series titled Bankers NGR, which, according to her (professional) Facebook page was created by Tunde Babalola (responsible for writing Kunle Afolayan’s October 1, The CEO, and Okwo’s own The Meeting) explores the lives of Bankers at a fictional Bank called Sun Country Bank.

Produced by Mildred Okwo and her producing partner Rita Dominic, the show apparently stars Dominic herself, Joke Silva, Zainab Balogun, Ashionye Raccah, Ego Boyo (yes, you read properly, more on this later) among several others.

You can see more photos on Mildred Okwo’s instagram.
