Nigeria’s sustainability champion, Access Bank Plc., kicked off its 2-day Sustainability Summit themed ‘Financing Sustainable Development’ yesterday at its headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Participants were engaged in an insightful panel session on strategies for impactful collaboration and also had the opportunity to interact with representatives of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) on the Global Principles for Responsible Banking.

Panelists and guest speakers at yesterday’s event include Dr. Aisha Mahmood, Special Adviser to the CBN Governor on Sustainable Banking; Professor Ken Amaeshi, Chair, Business and Sustainable Development and Director of the Sustainable Business Initiative, University of Edinburgh; Tumelo Puleng Ndjwili-Potele, Banking Project Coordinator, United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative (UNEPFI); Abiola Oshunniyi, Chief Operating Officer, Parallel Points Consult; Bankole Allibay, CEO, Translantic Development Limited; Joel Ogunsola, Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Innovation and Partnerships; Natalie Beinisch, Senior Researcher and Consultant, N.M.B, and Colette Otusheso, Head, Accelerate TV.
