A middle school in New York allegedly forced teenage girls to ask another girl for a “lesbian kiss,” during an anti-bullying presentation, which focused on homosxuality and gender identity.

Parents are angry at Linden Avenue Middle School authorities because they say they did not inform them or ask their permission before their girls were told to ask for a “lesbian kiss” from another girl. The middle school girls were as led to do this by a group of students from Bard College, who led two workshops at the school.

Apparently the 13 and 14 year-old girls also learned about words such as “pansexual” and “genderqueer,” whilst they were told to do this other “unspeakable” act. The daughter of Mandy Coon told her mother that she was “very uncomfortable” with the exercises during the classes.

According to Coon, her daughter said to her, “Mom, we all get teased and picked on enough; now I’m going to be called a lesbian because I had to ask another girl if I could kiss her.”

Coon went on to say that she was very angry that the school authorities never informed her or gave her the opportunity to opting out of the class. She continued saying that she was upset that college students were allowed to come into the classroom of her daughter and try to teach her to become sexually active.

“I am furious,” Coon declared. “I am her parent. Where does anyone get the right to tell her that it’s okay for her to have sex?”

Another parent commented that instruction about sexual activity should be left to the parents to discuss with their children. They went on to say that they thought the school was overstepping their bounds by not giving the parents notification.

Apparently, during a workshop ran for boys at the school, the boys were told that it was advisable to keep a condom in their pocket, “at all times.”. They were also shown how to tell if a woman or girl is a “slut.”

However, the district superintendent, Paul Finch, and the school principal, Katie Zahedi, find nothing wrong with the classes. They say that they are planning to schedule more of them.

According to Finch, the lessons were “focused on improving culture, relationships, communication and self-perceptions.” He added that in the future they might “require more notice to parents.”

Finch continued to say that the workshops were a required subject that would help protect students from bullying and harassment in the classroom and they came under the state Dignity for All Students Act.

Information has not yet come to light as to whether the girls were actually forced to kiss one another or if they were only forced to ask for a kiss.
