Reports reaching YNaija can confirm that the Ikemba of Nnewi and Biafran warlord Dim Chukwuma Odimegwu Ojukwu is dead. He passed on late last night at Hammers-field hospital London where he was transferred to from the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu after suffering from a fatal stroke.

He was 78 years old.

The leader of the All Progressive Grand Alliance Political party was expected to make a recovery especially after he had been rumoured dead several times before.

He is survived by his wife, former beauty queen and special adviser to the President, Bianca, their two children and several other children from previous relationships.

May his soul rest in peace.
