The Nasarawa State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Innocent Lagi has been arrested by the state’s police command for scaling the fence of the State House of Assemble to serve a court order.
According to reports, Lagi was at the Assembly to serve the officials with a court injunction restraining the House from summoning the chairman of Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission (NASIEC), and his commissioners to appear before them.
It was gathered that, he was refused entrance into the premises by security officers and decided to jump over the fence which caused his arrested by security officials who were prompted by the legislators to do so.
Reports say before the Attorney General arrived at the Assembly, the Chairman of the commission, Abdullahi Modibo and five other commissioners had already responded to questions raised by members on the conduct of the exercise.
