Miss Texas Margana Wood slams Trump’s Charlottesville comments

Just when you would think tensions and wide criticisms sparked by Trump’s comment on the Charlottesville violent incident which sent the media space agog in the early weeks of August, another series of criticism has rolled in from an unusual sphere.

Texas’ contestant in the Miss America pageant berated President Trump on Sunday night for his response to the violence at a white supremacist rally last month in Charlottesville, Virginia which sent the media space agog.

When she was asked about Trump’s response to the violence, the contestant, Margana Wood said, “I think that the white supremacist issue, it was very obvious, that it was a terrorist attack, and I think that President Donald Trump should’ve made a statement earlier addressing the fact, and in making sure all Americans feel safe in this country. That is the number one issue right now.”

Also, the winner of the competition, Cara Mund of North Dakota, launched her own assault on the President’s antics by slamming Trump for his decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement earlier this year.

“It’s a bad decision, there is evidence that climate change is existing and we need to be at that table”, she said.
