The Presidency on Thursday denied reports that N500bn earmarked for Social Investment Programmes in the 2016 budget has been mismanaged.
Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande said this in a statement in Abuja.
Akande was reacting to media reports on a recent debate in the Senate titled, “The need to avoid the mismanagement of the N500bn Social Intervention Funds.”
He also dismissed claims that the programme was meant to marginalise a section of the country.
