Women in Rivers protest against conduct of Saturday’s election (See Photos)

About two thousand female members of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Monday protested on the ever busy Aba road in Port Harcourt calling for cancellation of Saturday’s election.
The women who wore black walked through Aba road towards INEC office to register their displeasure, alleging that there were some irregularities during the election.
They were led by House of Representatives candidate for Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Maureen Tamuno.

The protesters were however dispersed at Waterlines portion of the road by stern looking policemen with mild teargas fired into the air, thus preventing the protesters from getting to the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC about five hundred meters away.
