Nyesom Wike, the Rivers state governor was on Wednesday, affirmed as the rightful winner of the April 2015 governorship election in the state.

Without stating a reason for the ruling, the apex court ruled against the petition of Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress party, to unseat Wike as governor.

Subsequent to the ruling, Wike celebrated his victory with family, friends and supporters.
