The Ondo gubernatorial election has kicked off peacefully in most polling centres across the state.
But according to Premium Times, the failure of card readers appear to be slowing down the voting pace.
INEC officials and voters arrived at polling units several minutes before the 8 a.m. start time for accreditation and voting.
The card reader at Unit 2 ward 9 Oke Aro/ Uro by CAC Primary School in Akure failed to work, which led electoral officials to call the attention of the technical officer .
The voters requested that officials to use the incident form if the card readers were not working.
A similar situation occurred at Alagbon ward 2, unit 22, Ilaje LGA,where the card readers developed faults.
