Rihanna and Chris Brown have had a tumultuous relationship.
And this week has been no different for the famous couple.
Just one day after publicly confessing onstage that she doesn’t know anything about love, the Stay singer posted a snap of her and on/off beau Chris Brown to Twitter, on Wednesday.
The accompanying caption – full of colourful language – made it clear Rihanna was in a lighthearted mood: ‘This s*** look like a toupee.’
The quip was a self-deprecating reference to her windblown hair as she sat next to the grinning 23-year-old Don’t Judge Me recording artist in the driver’s seat.

A second snap taken by the couple depicted Rihanna haloed in sunlight.
The pop star wore horn-rimmed sunglasses as her auburn tinted tresses hung wildly over her face.
The Instagram caption for the picture was full of playful braggadocio: ‘Yellow model chick in my yellow a** dress wit my yellow n**** X’
The We Found Love singer wore a yellow tank top and appeared to want to name everything else in the vicinity by the same colour.
But just two nights before at her sold out show in Los Angeles the singer hinted that all is not well in her romantic life.
The pop star, who is currently on her Diamonds world tour, asked the audience: ‘How many of you are in love?
‘How many of you hate love? How many of you don’t f**king understand it? I’m in that group.’
The confession came, according to People.com, as an introduction to her new song What Now from her latest album.

The Diamonds (In The Sky) artist wore a gold embroidered jacket and thigh-high leather boots.
The petite songstress completed the outfit with black and gold briefs, a leather bikini top, and a diaphanous shirt.

The couple – who reconciled last year even though Chris is still on probation for beating her in 2009 – were spotted partying separately at different Los Angeles hotspots over the weekend.
But friends of the couple insist they are still together and just have a lot going on.
A source previously told HollywoodLife: ‘Chris ain’t trying to hear no nonsense today. It’s simple, he with [Rihanna].
‘They’re cool and if and when something changes between them that’s between them – they both have a lot going in their careers right now and just doing them and focused on they work.’
The insider went on to explain: ‘They’ve been trying to connect but it hasn’t been clicking for them. It ain’t like Rihanna got time to just chill and run through – she’s on tour and her schedule is way too tight.’
