Quadri, who made history as the first ever African to reach the quarter final stage of the table tennis event lost to World number one Chinese Ma Long, 0-4.
It was always going to be a difficult tie for the Nigerian as Long wasted no time in showing his superiority winning the first two games 11-2, 11-4.
As hard as Quadri tried to get back into the game Long’s technical ability was clearly ahead as he won the remaining two games 11-6, 11-7.
