In a country where many of the lawmakers are clowns, it is always a breath of fresh air when a senator deviates from the norm.
Love him or hate him, Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central is one of the most important voices in the senate. Before becoming a senator, Sani, who is the present Chairman of the Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Mounting Humanitarian Crises in the North-East, was one of those who called for the Goodluck Jonathan administration to negotiate with the Boko Haram terrorist group.
On Saturday, 82 of the kidnapped Chibok girls were released by the sect and Sani came out guns blazing, as he provided details saying more of the girls will be released soon.
Such is the importance of the job done by Shehu Sani as he takes the top spot on the YNaija effectiveness ranking this week.
