Suspended NIA DG, Ambassador Ayo Oke, weeps after being denied entrance to Aso Rock

Ambassador Ayo Oke, the suspended Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, has been barred from gaining entry into the Presidential Villa, The Punch reports.

Oke, whose suspension was announced on Wednesday following an order from President Muhammadu Buhari became emotional as he shed tears when his attempts to enter the Presidential Villa, Abuja shortly after his suspension.

He made attempts to seek an audience with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo but was turned back.

He also tried to avoid journalists stationed at the villa. He has since left the premises after being driven to the Service Chiefs’ gate where he was turned down.
