Prophet T.B. Joshua’s official YouTube channel ‘Emmanuel TV’ has released a song dedicated to those who lost their lives in the tragic incident which left over 100 dead in September 2014.

The song titled, ‘Heaven Is Our Home’ was sung by South African soprano opera singer, Kimmy Skota who is renowned for her touring with Dutch classical music legend, Andre Rieu.

The lilting melody has already drawn praise from online commentators after it was posted on Joshua’s official Facebook page, many stating the heartfelt rendition left them in tears.

“I can honestly say that God was the inspiration behind every aspect of this song,” Skota wrote on her own Facebook page. “Never before have I
experienced His presence in such a way than when I was privileged to sing this tribute, written by Prophet T.B. Joshua.”

The lyrics of the ‘tribute’ deal with pertinent questions as to why such a calamitous incident occurred in the church, answering that ‘Heaven knows’ and assuring believers that ‘Heaven is our home’.

Joshua introduces the song by saying, “Whether we die young or old, what matters is the grace to continue living hereafter,” stressing that ‘this world is not our home’.

Almost two months after the building collapse, the bodies of more than 80 South Africans who died in the incident have yet to be repatriated.

The inquest into the cause of the collapse, instigated by Lagos State Government, is currently ongoing.
