World Wrestling Entertainment or WWE as it is popularly known, made the courageous decision to pivot from a nationally televised brand to a global brand in 1980s. While at this time, the company was inching to the wrestling behemoth it is today, it would see a significant rise in its national and global presence in 90s. Thanks to names like, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Andre the Giant, and Macho Man Randy Savage, who were a little over their prime at the time.
Fast forward to a few years later, names like, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, HHH, Shawn Micheals and The Undertaker amongst other big-name superstars gave the brand, the credibility it needed to dominate the global market. Judging from a performer’s standpoint, no one of these wrestlers have given more to the company than The Undertaker.

Mark William Calaway, better known by his wrestling moniker; The Undertaker, has been a performer for the WWE since 1990. Branded as a nightmarish character who devours his adversaries in haunting and ritualistic ways, The Undertaker for three solid decades delivered stellar performances and a number of iconic matches that are sure to go into the Wrestling Hall of Fame, including the Shawn Michaels Vs Undertaker Match, which brought Wrestlemania to prominence in 2010, in front of a record 72,219 attendance.
Having enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in wrestling, an unusual feat in the sport, as injuries fester and relevance decline, The Undertaker, in his Biopic; ‘The Last Ride,’ hinted at retiring, stating simply that there “is nothing more to conquer.”

At this time, his retirement is not official, as neither he nor the WWE has made any formal announcements. Regardless, people have taken to social media to show their support for this decorated athlete.
