Pearl Hart covers the latest edition of The Celebrity Shoot and she has a lot to tell.
The Celebrity Shoot, which was created by designer & stylist Abbyke Domina, aims at “showcasing young and fashionable people as they give you an insight to their view on fashion.”
The Soundcity VJ and presenter talked extensively about what fashion, style and lifestyle meant to her saying, “Fashion to me is a way of life. I mean I dress for my mood so it’s basically about the various turns in my life.” However, she maintains her own style when it comes to trends, “I’m more into my own style. Yes there are trends but I don’t subscribe to all. The ones I like I definitely wear so you can say I go with whatever suits me.”
Her opinion about modern African fashion trends? “It’s quite impressive that we have started to appreciate our own, more so with all the new styles out. You can have different prints sewn as Iro & Buba, or our ankara sewn as harem pants or anything you can think of. The creativity is enormous and I’m ready to embrace it.”
Her most embarrasing fashion moment however was years back when she ignored a slit on a nice white short skirt. Apparently the slit had been loosening up and before she could help the situation, she had her butt cheeks out in the open and church. Really sad story it is so much that she dropped an advice just to avoid the situation, “If your slit loosens make sure you tack it immediately. Try to pin it in place and simply go straight home.”
Pearl Hart loves the good life and “it’s evident in my smile.”
