President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday was bashed for cancelling his planned trip to Chibok, where over 230 girls were abducted on April 14, due to the dicey security situation in Borno.
While it appeared to many that the President was poised to make the journey, his media aide, Reuben Abati was vehement in denying that Jonathan had any plan whatsoever to visit the North eastern state.
Others believe the president was persuaded not to make the visit.
CNN news anchor, Jim Clancy has thrown his support behind Jonathan saying the that the “president can act without traveling.”
