Did you catch the conversation between our president’s wife, Aisha Buhari and Senator Shehu Sani? It was all very… well, Animal Farm.
Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Biafra agitation had once called Nigeria a Zoo and people were ready to break coconut on his head.
I wonder why the uproar, though. Buhari was reported to have said something not very long ago, about Baboons and Dogs.
Now, Aisha Buhari and Senator Sani have called Nigerians weaker animals and we are having fun with it.
Author and poet, Juliet Kego points out our hypocrisy. See below:
1/. A serving Senator & 1st Lady refer to citizens as Hyenas-Jackals-Weak animals;
2/. Kanu refers Nigeria as a Zoo & y'all got "offended"??— Juliet 'Kego (@julietkego) July 10, 2017
3. Can we now ALL agree that whether KANU or SENATOR SHEHU SANI or MRS. AISHA BUHARI, they all use same ANIMAL FARM METAPHOR for Nigeria???

5. IF you haven't, please read Orwell's timeless satire: ANIMAL FARM- 'All animals are equal. But some animals are more equal than others.' pic.twitter.com/6IkVz4SVHa

6. If you've read the classic book (ANIMAL FARM) before, maybe it's time to dust it up & read it again & juxtapose to our current realities

7. I would like to thank NNAMDI KANU, SENATOR SHEHU SANI & MRS. AISHA BUHARI, for their apt metaphors & unwitting contribution to literacy?

8. And whether these accounts would be later said to be parody accounts or not, the fact remains that there are lessons in it for all of us?
— Juliet 'Kego (@julietkego) July 10, 2017
9. As someone who has seen a Twitter account, deleted, denied and turned parody like magic, it is possible these are all "parody" accounts..
— Juliet 'Kego (@julietkego) July 10, 2017
12. Finally, IF NGR?? is akin to an Animal Farm, aka Zoo, aka Zombie land (Fela), let's now FOCUS on TRANSFORMING her to a NATION for HUMANS

Reactions:
Thanks 4 d correction. We know where baboons are kept (zoo). We've rejected Zoological Republic of Nig. Weaker animals should start thinking

She mainly replied to Sani. Hope you not justifying Kanu's use of words?
