That time Donald Trump was Hugh Hefner’s muse for a Playboy cover

Playboy founder, Hugh Hefner died on Wednesday at 91 and while the world mourns the man who contributed to America’s sexual revolution and commercialised sex and nudity, we found something else that should make you giggle.

So we were going through some of the most iconic Playboy covers of all time starting with the debut issue that featured Marilyn Monroe to a more recent issue with Kim Kardashian, then we stumbled a male cover star and turns out to be President Donald Trump (except he didn’t own that title back then).

The American president who was only a 43-year-old businessman at the time appeared on the cover alongside model, Brandi Brandt. He sported a bow tie worn with tuxedo pants while the lady wrapped his jacket around her (we assume) naked body. At least, he had his hair in place back then…

It doesn’t matter what the Hefners think of the feature now, Donald’s Trump’s Playboy cover remains one of his most cherished souvenirs. In August, Hefner’s son and heir to the Playboy empire, Cooper said in an interview that Trump’s Playboy cover was a “personal embarrassment”. The younger Hefner said he disagreed with most of Trump’s policies and “didn’t respect the guy”.

To be fair on him, Trump is one of the few men who have made it to the Playboy cover and he’s super proud of himself for it.
