President elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday inaugurated the much awaited transition committee with a warning to members not be on a fault finding mission, but to study the hand over notes and advise him on how to avoid the mistakes of the past.
The 19 -member committee headed by a retired Permanent Secretary and elder statesman, Alhaji Ahmed Joda has as members, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun,, Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi and former Abia State governor, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, who will serve as the Vice Chairman.
The Auditor General of the Federation (AuGF), Samuel Ukura, on Tuesday blamed the inability of his office to publish the report of the forensic audit on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) over the missing $20 billion oil fund on presidential interest.
He said the the Goodluck Jonathan presidency had far more special interest in the matter than his own office and the auditors.

The Acting Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, has said that police road blocks breed corruption, warning that any police personnel caught mounting road blocks anywhere in the country would be made to face the law.
The IGP made the declaration in Abuja on Wednesday, just as he announced the reopening of the Nigeria Police Intelligence School in Enugu, which was shut down about a year ago.
Arase, who spoke during his inaugural meeting with senior officers of the Force, also highlighted long term plans for the police in the days ahead.
