Barely few hours to the commencement of the Alabama Republican Senate special election on Tuesday, President Trump has reiterated his unhidden support for former Alabama Attorney General and incumbent Senator, Luther Strange.
Luther Strange was appointed on February 9 to replace Jeff Sessions upon the latter’s appointment as the country’s Attorney General, but would now face stiff competition from opposition candidate and former Alabama chief Judge Roy Moore to complete the tenure of Jeff Sessions until December when a general election will take place.
Trump in a tweet wrote: “Big election tomorrow in the Great State of Alabama. Vote for Senator Luther Strange, tough on crime & border – will never let you down!”

President Trump travelled to Alabama last Friday to support and canvass votes for Luther Strange whose victory will be a tough one owing to latest polls which suggests Roy Moore has an advantage over the Senator.
Strange enjoys the support of the GOP establishment including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and had VP Mike Pence in Alabama last night for a mega rally in his support.
Meanwhile, Steve Bannon and other notable liberalists stormed Alabama last night in a mega rally to support Roy Moore in a bid to disappoint the GOP establishment and the so-called “Washington Power”.
