US President, Donald Trump says a deal will be made between Israel and parties if both parties are willing.

Trump said this Wednesday when he played host to Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas at the White House.

“It’s a great honour to have the president with us. We are going to have lunch, we are going to have discussions and hopefully, something terrific can come out between the Palestinians and Israel, they’ve been working on that one a long time. It’s been a long, long time and maybe we can end that journey and start a much better journey.”

He added, “We will be discussing details of what has proven to be a very difficult situation between Israel and the Palestinians and let’s see if we can find a solution. It’s something that I think frankly maybe not as difficult as people have thought over the years, but we need two willing parties. We believe Israel is willing, we believe you (Palestine) is willing, and if you both are willing, we are going to make a deal. So I want to thank everybody, I want to thank Rex Tillerson for being here.”

Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson on his part said, “Mr. President, I think it’s a historic opportunity because there are a number of policy conditions in place, and I know under your leadership and willingness of the president and prime minister, we hope good things will happen.”

VP Mike Pence, said, “I will just like to welcome the president and his entire delegation here to the White House. It’s good to see you again. My family and I had the privilege of your hospitality during a Christmas visit just a few short years ago and we welcome you and look very much forward to our discussions.”
