Housemates in the Big Brother Naija house yesterday felt optimistic at the thought of the opportunity to double their Betway BB Naira, via the weekly task presentation.
The housemates last week failed at the weekly task, so they knew they had to bring the intensity to this week’s presentation. Fortunately, they had put in the work, as Praise worked around the clock, all week, to choreograph some interesting routines.
He did an exceptional job in taking the lead role as creative director, and putting the housemates in unison, amidst all the quarrels that had ensued during the week.
Unfortunately, this would not be enough, as the final ruling on their task presentation came out a failure.
For this week’s task, Big Brother demanded that the housemates brings the circus to the house. They were tasked with presenting enthralling performances, be it dancing, juggling, magic tricks or acrobats.
While Biggie did admit that the housemates managed to impressed him with their performances, from the magic card trick performance by Ozo to the juggling tricks by Tochi, and other entertaining acts, he refused to give them the win because they flouted the rules.
However, Biggie did award Praise and Vee an extra 20 BB Naira for their outstanding effort and delivery.
With just 810 BB Naira left in the housemates purse, it’s interesting to see just how they during cope for the coming week.
Lucy breaks down.
During a conversation Lucy had with her deputy head of House: Prince, she spoke bitterly about the conduct of the housemates, and how it was the refusal of the housemates to listen to her that resulted in them losing their wager. She let out her emotions, even blaming Prince for not entirely being on her side.
Seems she felt particularly terrible and responsible for the loss, as head of house.
Prior to the task presentation, and well after, some of the housemates had some interesting things to say.
With the way the housemates have carried themselves all week, it’s hard to imagine that they have been feeling the pressures of eviction. However it is wishful thinking to believe that they actually don’t. Each of them came to the show to win, and at the very least leverage the BBN platform, so it’s safe to assume that none of them wants their journey cut short.
During a conversation Praise had with Vee, he admitted to feeling some eviction pressure. “It’s getting to me and it’s scary when I think of it,” He said.
He also told her that it’s all about playing the game. Like he said “You play or be played.”
Ka3na and Praise decided to clear the air on some sexual attraction issue. The two admitted that they like each other, but can’t act on it. For Praise, it is because he has a fiance. For Ka3na, she stated that she only dates older men, but is open to the idea of having sex with guys like him.
Erica wasn’t having the best of days yesterday, as she seemed to have hit a slump. During a conversation she had with Laycon, she explained to him that she is tired of the housemates and the house. She spoke about wanting to be around those she is most comfortable with, which is family and friends, and she welcomed the idea of leaving on Sunday.
Laycon did all he could to encourage the beautiful actress, but she simply felt overwhelmed and needed to vent. Hopefully she feels better today and gets back to her typical gleefulness.
“I don’t lead people on.” The simple answer to an elusive question when it comes to Nengi. This ex-beauty queen has been noted for leading some of the guys in the house on. But speaking to Tochi, she cleared the misconception that she leads guys on. However, her revelation is a hard sell, as a number of people are solidly of the opinion that she does in fact lead guys on.
She reiterated her relationship situation, still having feelings for her ex.
While Tochi spoke to Tolanibaj, he admitted to having reservations for some of the housemates. He believes that some of them are not trust worthy, and no matter how much they smile at him, he’s still going to be skeptical towards them.
