A few days after they lost one member of their family to the recent Yobe State massacre, the family of slain lecturer, Samaila Alhaji Musa, has welcomed a new member.

At the time of his death, his wife was expecting and the shock she received at the news of his demise sent her into premature labour. She was delivered of a baby boy yesterday.

The Nation reports that:

She (Musa’s wife) was safely delivered of the baby and has been discharged from the hospital. She is now back at the family house at Sabon Pegi, Damaturu, the state capital.

The family had two little daughters before this baby boy. A brother of the deceased said: “Allah has replaced Samaila with his newborn baby boy”.

“Though we still grieve over his death, the arrival of the boy has consoled us. Allah has replaced him with the boy. He had two girls but look at how Allah works, just yesterday, his wife was delivered of a baby boy.”

Samaila was found dead near a building close to the entrance gate of the school and was buried at the spot. Sympathisers have been visiting his family house.
