DSS invites James Faleke, Mohammed Audu for questioning

The running mate and son of Audu Abubakar- the deceased governorship aspirant in Kogi state- James Faleke and Mohammed Audu respectively, have been taking in for questioning by the Department of State Services.

The pair have been openly critical of the All Progressives Congress’ decision to choose Yahaya Bello as the replacement candidate for the late Audu.

Following the inconclusive November 21 Kogi state gubernatorial elections, the APC overlooked Faleke in favour of Bello as its standard bearer in the supplementary election.

Bello would defeat incumbent governor, Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party in the rescheduled poll.

Ever since then, many support groups in the state have been threatened to unleash violence on the state ahead of the January 27 inauguration of Bello as Governor of Kogi.

Vanguard reports that Faleke and Audu arrived the Headquarters of the DSS at about 10.00 am on Saturday, and he’s yet to be released.

Meanwhile, the Director of Media and Publicity of Audu/Faleke Campaign Organization, Hon. Duro Meseko has confirmed the invitation.
