American rapper Kanye West has launched a verbal attack against musician Beyonce and her husband Jay Z.
West who was performing in Sacramento, California, as part of his U.S. tour on Saturday night accused Beyonce of refusing to perform at the MTV VMAs.
West, husband of reality TV star Kim Kardashian alleged that Beyonce said she would only perform if she won the ‘Best Video’ award, a category he was always nominated in.
West took his attack a step further as he called on Jay Z to call him and speak to him “like a man”, pleading with him (Jay Z) not to send killers after him.
He said, “Beyonce, I was hurt because I heard you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won “Video of the year” over me and over Hotline Bling. In my opinion – now don’t go dissing Beyoncé, she’s great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are – just to win.
“I’ve been sent here to give y’all my truth, even at the risk of my own life. At the risk of my own success. I’ll give y’all the truth. Jay-Z call me bro, you still ain’t called me … Jay Z, I know you got killas. Please don’t send them at my head. Talk to me like a man.”
