#BringBackOurGirls: The unfulfilled pledge to bring the abducted Chibok girls back (VIDEO)

“It may interest you to know that in a recent meeting I had with parents of the Chibok girls, I assured them that government would not rest until all the girls are rescued alive and reunited with their families.

“I remain fully committed to this pledge,” President Muhammadu Buhari said, on Wednesday, April 3, 2016.

Since the abduction of 276 girls from Government Secondary School in Chibok, Borno by Boko Haram terrorists, the Federal Government has piled promises upon promises to rescue the girls.

The Boko Haram insurgents kidnapped the girls on April 14, 2014, during the administration of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and although he eventually came to terms with the fact that they were indeed abducted, he was not able to free the girls from captivity before the end of his tenure in May 2015.

Goodluck Jonathan conceded electoral defeat to Muhmmadu Buhari in the April 2015 general elections.

Despite the change of government, the plight of the kidnapped innocent girls still has not changed.

Like the last administration, promises made to rescue the missing girls by the Presidency are yet to be fulfilled.
