The first US Presidential debate held early Tuesday with Donald Trump of the Republican party clashing with Hillary Clinton of the Democratic Party.

It was an interesting debate as both candidates answered a variety of questions on issues from moderator Lestor Holt.

In a poll compiled by CNN and ORC from debate watchers, 43 per cent believe Trump can handle the presidency while 55 per cent say he cannot. As for Hillary Clinton, 67 per cent believe she can handle the presidency while 2 per cent believe otherwise.

The polls are out for the event which held at the Hofstra University campus.
