A few days ago, 12,000 Nigerians were repatriated from Cameroon.
The deported Nigerians have arrived Nigeria and have begun registration and screening, after which they will be transported to new IDP camps in Yola, Adamawa.
3,000 of the deportees, who were displaced by Boko Haram insurgency, are presently at the border town between Nigeria and Cameroon, awaiting screening.
Deputy Governor of Adamawa state, Alhaji Sa’ad Tahir, visited them in Mubi South, Adamawa on Frday, August 7.
