Two persons a middle aged man, Mike Ojor in Ikwo Nnoyo in Ikwo local government area and the Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Ishielu LGA of the state, Emeka Nworie were reportedly shot dead in the early hours of Saturday by unknown gunmen in Ebonyi state.
The mastermind of the reprehensible act are said to be thugs allegedly loyal to an opposition political party in the state.
A source revealed that the late Nworie was attacked in his house in Ezzagu in Ishielu LGA and shot several times by his assailants.
Confirming the incident was the state Police spokesman, ASP Chris Anyanwu, who stated the assailants before killing the PDP stalwart asked for money which was generously given to them but still went ahead to kill their victim.
