It’s that time of the year when every musician is working harder than ever to produce hits that will rake in loads of show-performances, as the holiday season draws near.
The time of the year is near, where Nigerian music fans are to expect to a massive wave of club-bangers.
In no order of prominence, here is a list of albums that (if released) may have the potential to set the tone for the 2015 ember fever.
SEYI OR SHAY BY SEYI SHAY

After battling her way through the Nigerian music industry, she has now been able to command a decent following. She put in a lot of work, after leaving her former management Flytime Entertainment and her efforts were rewarded when she signed a deal with one of the top record labels in the word; Island Records UK.
Seyi Shay- who at one time was rumoured to be joining Starboy; Wizkid’s record label- is currently an ambassador for dairy food giant Hollandia and telecommunications giant Etisalat.
In a recent interview, she confirmed that her album titled Seyi or Shay would be dropping on November 13 and she would hold a listening session at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island.
With hits such as Murda featuring Dance Hall act Patoranking, Crazy featuring Wizkid and Jangilova, we expect nothing but a musical delight from the former girl-group singer.
THE BADDEST BY DAVIDO

It’s on everyone’s lips. DJs are getting ready to spin the heck out of this record, people can’t wait to listen. It’s THE BADDEST album by the Omo Baba Olowo; Davido.
Since releasing his debut album O.B.O (Omo Baba Olowo): The Genesis, the award winning act has gone to accomplish a lot in music and outside music. He is a graduate of Music from the prestigious Babcock University, a proud father of a baby girl and has rubbed shoulders with the crème de la crème of music globally.
The 19 track album has been hyped to be an album that will usurp Davido’s debut Album and solidify his status in Nigerian club-scene music. . The rumoured guest appearance, perhaps, justify the hype. Music heavyweights from Don Jazzy, Timaya, Runtown, P-Square to international superstars such as Wale, Akon, and Trey Songz are set to bless the album with their wonderful talent.
It is understood that the David Adeleke wants to deliver a rock-solid album, which is why he pushed forward the release date of the album more than twice now after it was initially scheduled for a June release.
He has released 2 singles off the album including the recent DODO, which already has a video burning the airwaves. The album is slated to drop in November 2015… Hopefully.
UNTITLED EP BY WIZKID

It’s sort of a downer for Wizkid’s fans to have waited too long for the release of his first album under his new label. The Starboy, just like Davido, promised to release an album by now, but he pushed it forward again like his supposed rival- but further to 2016. He explained that this move was to spend more time fine-tuning the record, after he was inspired by the ovation 2face got at his recent Fortyfied concert.
He however said that he was going to compensate his fans by putting out a 10-track EP this October.
WANTED BY WANDE COAL

goddammit! It’s about time. Music enthusiasts and critics have waited for so long to see Wande Coal rise beyond where is about to take off with this new Album titled WANTED.
We all had to wait impatiently, for 5 years.
The album however resonates with the title-Wanted. In all fairness to him, the anticipation is at its highest at the moment, with the release of club hit Ashimapeyin and feel good jam Same S**t featuring South African rapper AKA.
Those who have heard the album, case in point- music producer Sarz says it contains monster hits and he could boast that it is the best body of work from the Black Diamond boss; Wande Coal, till date.
The album which is scheduled for release for the 26th of October 2015 is rumoured to be largely produced by Maleek Berry.
Hopefully, the supposedly loaded album will catapult him to the world stage.
MY STORY BY SPINALL

This year has seen Nigerian DJs come out and stake a claim for a major share in the music industry by releasing solo albums.
While this is still very confusing for some, with the feeling that they do not contribute anything worthy of mention to the songs, others believe that they bring their musical knowledge and the ability to find the right rhythm between the collaborating artistes on a song or album.
‘The Cap’- DJ Spinall has decided to join the likes of Jimmy Jatt, DJ Xclusive by dropping his album titled: ’My Story’.
The Smirnoff ambassador has released decent hits such as Gba Gbe E featuring dancehall maestro; Burna Boy, Oluwa featuring Byno and MI, as well as the recently radio and video hit Excuse Me featuring Timaya.
The 16 track album which is slated for release for the 29th of October 2015 will feature top Nigerian acts such as 2 Face Idibia, Olamide, Burna Boy, M.I, Tmaya, and Yemi Alade as well exceptional producers like Spellz, Dee Tunes, J Fem, E Kelly, Pheelz, Drey Betaz, Tekno and Killertunes.
There are some pretty interesting songs on the track list to look forward to, such as: Money featuring 2 Face Idibia and Wande Coal, The Way featuring Mafikizolo and Ice Prince, Shout Out featuring Wande Coal, Feel It featuring Sean Tizzle.
ON A SPACESHIP BY BURNA BOY

This is one album that is billed to be very distinct as we have seen Burna Boy evolve continuously in the past two years.
New Haircut, new flow, new self-owned record label, new publishing deal with one of the biggest music groups in the world and endorsements galore, the Port Harcourt boy is set to quell any opinions that he cannot make it out on his own.
No one knows what to expect from the Follow Me crooner except quality music, which is assured.
The album which is titled On A Spaceship is slated for release in November 2015.
