We have 47 witnesses against PDP’s election fraud – Akwa Ibom APC

Still on the Akwa Ibom election petition tribunal, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, says the statement made by the state’s Attorney General, Uwemedimo Nwoko, that it lacked witnesses at the election petitions tribunal are false.

Nwoko had, during a radio broadcast by the Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation, said that the APC had run out of witnesses to testify against its political opponents in the Akwa Ibom State Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja.

In a statement signed by the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Ita Awak, on Thursday, the party said it was not surprising that Nwoko could use his office as an attorney general and commissioner for justice to tell lies in order to misinform and mislead Akwa Ibom public.

“For the avoidance of doubt, and to put the records straight, we want Akwa Ibom people to know that the APC has presented 47 formidable witnesses, including a former Akwa Ibom State governor and member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Obong Victor Attah, and a former member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Don Etiebet,” the statement said in part.
