First lady, Aisha Buhari had criticised her husband President Buhari in an interview she had with the Hausa Service of the BBC, where she vowed not to support him come 2019 if he continued with his leadership style.
President Buhari in his reaction on Friday, said, “I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room”.
A former Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Rowland Owie has aired his view on the matter saying Aisha Buhari erred by publicly “attacking” her husband, saying if he was in Buhari shoes, he will send her back to her father’s house.
Senator Owie said, “Aisha is right in criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointments, but the medium she adopted is very wrong. Such advice from a wife to a husband should be given at bed time and not to the hearing of anybody.
“If a wife does that to me, the woman will return to her parent’s house within 24 hours of that statement. A Benin Parable says – Only one’s enemy that will advise one in the presence of The Oba in council.”
