A few days back, lovers and regular customers of Chocolate Royale, got the shock of their lives when News broke that their beloved Cafe was a fradulent one.
Chocolat Royal, a well known and loved bakery, ice cream shop and cafe on Etim Inyang Crescent in VI, Lagos was shut down because of the following chilling reasons.
- All food products/source material had expired – the oldest since 2004 and the newest in 2013. There were maggots found in some.
- 90% of the products were not labelled in English, and therefore were not registered by NAFDAC.
- Illegal cold rooms were found in the building and in the MD – Amin Moussalli‘s house.
- The contaminated food products were stored in cold rooms on top of sewage (‘suck away’ pit) and in front of toilets.
That’s not all.
It was further reported that it’s Chairman, Amin Moussali who is also the boss of Cool FM, Nigeria Info, Wazobia FM, Cool TV as well as WEE TV, fled abroad to avoid been arrested.
Well a concerned twitter user, @eyooekpo is asking some interesting questions on the social media platform and peeps are responding.
The concerned twitter user who also happens to be a blogger, further revealed that he spoke to Amin Mousalli earlier today and he denied fleeing Nigeria to avoid arrest.
