These are the stories that drove conversation this week.
You remember the Kachikwu-Baru saga? Well, this week, the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu finally spoke on what transpired between him and President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said, “Mr President has urged the two of us to find ways of working together to remove doubt and rift.”
You can read the rest of it here.
Meanwhile, reacting to the issue Tam David West said Kachikwu is just a minister without portfolio.
One other thing, the Presidency – like they are used to doing (clearing the air) – said NNPC did not award contracts worth $25 billion.
Ok, before we end this. A former Minister, Co-convener of the #BringBackOurGirls movement and, an outspoken social media commentator, Oby Ezekwesili asked the Federal Government to hold on there – not try to cover up the $25 billion mess.
The week ended with Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo meeting with both Kachikwu and Baru.
Yes, this week too, we saw a former President, Olusegun Obasanjo feature in a movie.

The Intel-NPA back and forth argument continued this week.
But, this time, some other agency, FIRS came out to say that Intels has been “avoiding” taxes.
Still on the matter, Intels say they have tried to resolve the issue with NPA, but NPA has been elusive. In that light, they believe there is more to the case than just the TSA issue.
The reactionary House of Representatives began an investigation into the Intels-NPA saga, citing loss of jobs that would run into over 11,000.
Intels has, however, apologised, saying they would comply with the TSA directive.
On the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, the Senator – Eyinnaya Abaribe – who stood as surety for his bail, asked the court to discharge him and return his N100 million. He gave reasons.
He asked the court to do this at the continued trial of Kanu, who was absent.
The court, however, gave Senator Abaribe three options.
President Muhammadu Buhari also met with a delegation of governors at the State House and reportedly blasted them for “sleeping when they are owing salaries“.
At the meeting also, the governors asked the President to remit the remaining 50 percent of the Paris Club refund but, that did not go down well with Nigerians.
In response to the backlash, the governors said the Paris and London Club refund is their entitlement, that they are not begging for money.
The governors also said President Buhari did not rebuke them for owing salaries.
The Red Chambers, however, started an investigation into the refunds and bailout funds which reports say were judiciously “misused”.
Continuing in the discussion about the appointment of Gani Adams as the Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yorubaland, a former governor of Lagos, Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulated Adams, saying he deserves the honour.
Also, Adams said he is 47 and is not too young to be the Aare Ona Kakanfo, he also asked Nigerians to pull down the idea that he would die young just as the previous Aare.
The Alaafin of Oyo who conferred the title to Adams eventually explained why he honoured him with the title.
The governor of Imo, Rochas Okorocha finally reacted to the backlash he got from erecting a statue of the President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma in the state.
Interestingly, he said he owes no one an apology, and that he will erect more statues.
Talking about erecting more statues, it was later found out that there are actually more statues to be unveiled by Okorocha.
The House of Representatives has asked the Federal Government to give arms to officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
They cited the spate of assault on the officers.
