Former President, Goodluck Jonathan’s thumbprint could not be read by the card reader at the ongoing Bayelsa state governorship election.
The card reader introduced in the last general election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) also failed to read the thumbprint of his wife, Patience Jonathan and his mother.
The polling unit 039, Ward 13 in Ogbia local government area, is directly opposite his residence in Otuoke , Ogbia Local government area.
After the initial disappointment, Jonathan headed home and returned to the polling unit around 10am, but this time, his mother was twice unlucky.
The former President and his wife successfully got accredited but it failed to acknowledge his mother.
