#BBNaija: Pere sows the first seed of discord, delivering on his promise to shake tables

It’s the 3rd day of the second week in the Big Brother Naija House, and for the the first time since the show began, we can truly say things are beginning to heat up. Today was all about Liquorose and Emmanuel, and their ship that has been setting to sail, but has not quite revved up its engines yet.

Liquorose and Emmanuel for the past week now have been making it known that there is some attraction between them. They spend time together, they eat together, sleep together, and even choose each other when its time for truth or dare games. It’s obvious that there is something between them, what this something is, is yet to be clear, whether one is trying to use the other to play the game or whether their feelings are genuine, is uncertain.

Today however, after a roller coaster of a conversation, their relationship status somehow managed to even be more ambiguous. The conversation began with Liquorose and Emmanuel, and eventually Maria who was close to them joined in. Liquorose and Maria both tried to pry an honest response from Emmanuel about what he truly wants from Liquorose. Emmanuel wasn’t necessarily clear with his response, he just kept insinuating that he doesn’t want to cage Liquorose.

Before long, Niyi, Sammie, Pere and Beatrice became a part of the conversation too. With everyone listening, Pere, decided to ‘keep it real.’ He gave his two cents on the situation based on what he had been overhearing, and in a few seconds, he shook the table he promised to shake earlier this morning. He told Liquorose in front of everyone that he feels like she likes Emmanuel, but Emmanuel simply does not like her back. He concluded saying that Liquorose should be careful, and with Emmanuel remaining silent rather than defending against Pere’s opinion, Liquorose began to get upset.

To make the issue worse, Maria too decided to ‘keep it real’, stating that if Emmanuel treated her the way he threated Liquorose, she would feel heart broken. At this point, Liquorose was forced into a corner of trying to convince everyone she is not the love struck girl they are making her out to be.

Pere’s words like he said, may just be from a desire to keep it real, or maybe it could be as a result of the promise he made to Boma this morning, when he said he needs to start shaking tables. Read story here… It feels more like the latter than the former, but with the events of today, Pere may just turn out to be the villain this plot needs in order for things to get interesting.
