There are reports of a bomb blast in Kano metropolis.
The exact circumstances of this blast are still unclear but reports from the Punch Newspapers say not less than 10 people have lost their lives in the explosion which occurred around 9:30pm today at a drinking joint.
No group has claimed responsibility for this attack but it is suspected that this may have been perpetrated by members of the Boko Haram Islamic group, a sect which has perpetuated a reign of terror in several northern states.
This explosion is coming a day after the local government elections in the state with the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning majority of the declared votes.
