Incumbent president of Ghana, John Mahama has conceded defeat in the Ghana presidential election.
According to Adebola Williams, Founding Partner of RED who is presently in Ghana, Mahama put a call through to Akufo-Addo at 7:51pm.
He tweeted, “GhanaDecides #GhanaHasDecided At 7:51 PM President John Mahama called to congratulate concede Nana Akufo-Addo #MrPresident #StateCraft.”
On his part, Akufo-Addo tweeted few minutes ago saying, “Wait for it … Wait for it … Wait for it … Wait for it … Wait for it … Wait for it … Wait for it … #ChangeHasCome.
“A few minutes ago, I received a call from President @JDMahama congratulating me on winning the 2016 Presidential Election. #ChangeHasCome”.
